During the dry season, the Amboseli’s dry lake bed transforms into a vital lifeline. Here, herds of elephants, led by wise matriarchs, embark on a daily journey in search of water in the swamps.
These majestic creatures navigate the arid landscape. At the forefront are the mighty matriarchs, leading with determination. Behind them, the protective circle of female elephants, focused on the safety of the herd. In the middle, the juveniles with the males bring up the rear. Together they give a sense of strength, unity, and purpose as they cross the lake. You can feel the earth trembling gently beneath your belly as these wonderful creatures pass by.
